We didn't have a printer for our entire first year of operation. We added
it from our profits, instead of buying it before anybody needed it. Nothing
is worse than spending money on something that nobody wants or cares about.

We still only have a medium range laser printer and a relationship with a
couple of local print shops for bigger jobs.

It totally depends on your members. There's no such thing as an "average"
member and if there was, you'd struggle to serve them because they want
everything ;)

Our members find having a printer convenient but it's not a "make or break"
component of why they're happy to pay for membership.
