Was trying to install a CPAN package and encountered

a problem when it asked for prereqs:

It wouldn't accept "CR" to terminate the input -- only "LF".

This problem only occurs in my cygwin-Perl-5.8.7.

I tried reloading CPAN -- that pulled up the reconfigure
dialog for some new parameters -- then I find the same
problem in the config dialog where CPAN wants all of it's
parameters (to create a new "~/.cpan/CPAN/Myconfig.pm").
I try typing the first param and hitting "LF" and the the
configure dialogue whips by takin the defaults for all of
the configure questions.

At this point, I don't know if it is due to recent changes
in CPAN, "cygwin", perl.
I am not able to replicated the bug on a linux installation
with the same perl version.

Does anyone else use CPAN on cygwin who can give
the config dialog a spin and see if it works "normally"?

If that's working, any other ideas where to look? I've
had problems with CPAN since it started wanting to do
signatures.

thanks,
Linda
