I'm using Debian Lenny : I suspect there is a conflict in my system
between perl installed from Debian package and CPAN installed from
Internet. I currently use perl v5.10 via Debian packages.

Phew… I wouldn't mix CPAN upgrades into my system Perl, or at least
not with a broad sword like the “upgrade” command of the CPAN.pm
shell.

I always use a second Perl (usually via perlbrew in /opt or /usr/local
or /home) and happily upgrade that.

Though probably with “conflict” you mean it happened by accident…

Sounds logical. Well, after all, we also learn from our errors...
Next step is to clarify this confusion between Debian packages and
Perl to clean my configuration.
I'll post on a Debian mailing to reach Debian gurus to proceed on this.

Thanks.
Bye,
Bruno
