I get a problem when installing PPerl (e.g., 0.13) on Solaris 2.8 with Perl 5.6.1:

The tests don't finish without killing.

It seems to hang in Test 9 of t/03cat.

        ~/.cpanplus/build/PPerl-0.13$ make test TEST_VERBOSE=2
        PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 /usr/local/bin/perl "-MExtUtils::Command::MM" "-e"
"test_harness(2, 'blib/lib', 'blib/arch')" t/*.t

Any ideas?

The problem with cpansmoke is that it gets an alarm, is absolutely silent and I find
quite a few hanging processes in the morning :-)
