To be more precise : a tool that checks that my js is not specific to
one browser
I don't think that such a tool exists.
The solution is:
- to only produce JavaScript code following the ECMAScript Language
Specification
- to only use the DOM to access and modify the elements of an HTML
page
- to check that your DOM methods are understood by your target web
browsers with for example a compatibility list like this one:
http://www.quirksmode.org/dom/w3c_core.html
- to check that there isn't any warning in your JavaScript console in
Firefox/Mozilla
