To answer this part of the question: no, it will not be possible to use the old style forever. It's deprecated in CPS 3.4, and will go away as soon as the CPS 3.5 branch starts.

Nothing prevents you from having an external method based on these dictionnaries and creating classes directly though (this is python after all), but you'll have to extract code from the existing deprecated installers and move them in your product.
