Yes.
Please check the FAQ (http://www.nuxeo.org/sections/about/java-switch)
that explains the reasons behind this decision.
Yeah, great...
Well, CPS was already close to average Java softwares in terms of
agility and simplicity, so it seems quite logical indeed...
Try out php you'll see it's a lot easier : you'll love it !
No, thanks.
Too bad you could help out enhancing the software during all these
months.
Given this announce, I'm glad I didn't.
It should be your vision of what "open source" means =>
complaining on mailing lists.
Please search the archives and count how many times I "complained" here.
Regarding my "vision" of free software, it doesn't imply contributing
to *your* project specifically - believe it or not, there are quite a
lot of free softwares to contribute to.
You are exactly the kind of guy we won't be missing on the mailing lists
in the future.

Cheers,

P.S : And please don't subcribe to the new one....
I really do appreciate the friendliness of your tone.
CPS is not simple and that's a fact. It's a complex software build on
top of a complex framework build on top of a complex application server.
I'm neither criticizing this fact (I've learned to live with it) nor
discussing the reasons (technical, historical, whatever) behind this
fact, and I can well understand some of these reasons - just like I can
understand the reasons for the switch to Java.
Now given that I just stated a couple of mostly obvious facts, I really
find your (over)reaction surprising. Or is it that you find it insulting
to hear your project compared to some Java software ? If so, I can't
help - but then don't put the blame on me.
