Neat! Sounds exciting. On a tangent, do you think there's any hope of getting a
NIST TIPSTER-like program going again, or is it pretty much up to the private
sector? I suppose that would be for the best anyway, but it seems a shame to
lose out on pooling resources...I wonder how In-Q-Tel will come into play

Yep, no surprise there. From your vantage point, has this kind of "proprietary"
focus slowed down advances in research? Interesting tradeoffs, I'm sure...
