This is a small comment on a secondary part of a great posting, but
sometimes details cast a potent light of truth

Eminence grise? Sobieslaw Zasada was the name of a race car driver
who demonstrated his outstanding abilities in a hellish Argentina
rally decades ago. Could this one have to do with the minence grise?
The mixture of show business (car racing has always been show
business) and big government was -and remains- a feature of decaying,
recolonized societies such as mine. Is it the same in Poland?
Again, can't believe it!
