You are right this Crash-list is something like a marathon of analysis and
reflection...

BTW, I'm convinced you are subscribed to other lists, don't you?

I have been thinking on making a sociological analysis of lists people.

I mean, wouldn't it be interesting to know the average and the distribution
per level of:

- age
- education
- activity
- income
- quantity and kind of lists every one is subscribe to
- how many posts a profesional lister could read a day or a year
- how long a lister stay in a list or another
- how many people from how many countries participate in each list

We might can define more precisely who we are, which is our network,
geographically and politically speaking, how many languages do we manage as
a whole, which are the other lists every one of us are connected to and
then define the potential of contact and spread of an information...

You probably could imagine tens of other questions and applications to be
made with the results...

Would you help me to prepare such a virtual survey, to be sent by e-mail to
the lists of course!

Thank you for keeping awake for this last job!!

By the way, thank you for your comments on education, I remembered my civic
classes as the most boring thing I ever studied, but there is several ways
to introduce civics and, finally, I think we must define first what we
understand by civics, for my it's more something like explaining which are
the rights and the duties of every "citoyen" and the ways political world
could defend and promote our wills. Again, I'm talking about participatory
democracy, like in Porto Alegre in Brazil...

Wathever, I keep you personal e-mail and I hope you could read the digest
of the most interesting things most of us will probably send to your mail...

Keep in touch and enjoy your beautiful Swiss mountains, it's prety
different to look something that huge and concrete as a mountain than a 14
inches screen!!

A+
