This is my argument. Leave Jared out of it.

I agree that the US has made a call not to get rid of Saddam Hussein. This
is not the case in Yugoslavia. Why do you think that Milosevic caved at the
78 day mark? The alliance was fracturing, but yet the SPS/JUL signed the
"peace" treaty. Had there been a ground war, they would have gone in all the
way to Belgrade. Perhaps the "peace" was a self-preservation of the SPS/JUL
more than is usually thought. Hussein, a leader who has commited far more
crimes and defended state property far less than Milosevic has never been
indicted by the Hague tribunal. There is no bounty on his head. There is no
brazen manipulation of the "opposition" in the same light. It is done in
Iraq, but not with the same goals in mind. Bear in mind, that despite all
the yap to the contrary, Milosevic is an elected leader and not really any
kind of dictator. They call him as such to get what they want. All the
Imperialists want is one thing: Everything.

 Who

Yes. His resistance to the breakup might be wholly flawed, but it is a
resistance nonetheless. We should not say he resisted none because he
resiusted badly. In fact, we should not say "he" at all. It has been, in the
main, a Yugoslav effort, led by Serbia.

> You can remember when the "West" supported this man?

Yeah, and then he did the unforgivable: He took back the property for the
Yugoslav people that was slated for sale. He has never been supported since.

Whatever, Zhirinovsky is a different toad entirely, and not at all relevant
to a discussion of Yugoslavia.
