Thank you for the kind words, MacDonald. I must say that I have talked to people in Yugoslavia, and based on that, and the news today, the situation is better than I feared. I hope it is much better. It appears that Mr. Djindjic and perhaps Kostunica and certainly the US/Germans planned yesterdays provocations with the hope and expectation that the security police would react with fury. Whe they didn't react at all, I for one mistakenly assumed it was treason. But now I think it was Milosevich the Fox outwitting Albright the Half Bright and her Yugo stooges, some of whom call themselves anarchists, an insult to anarchism, and some of whom call themselves democrats, an insult to demos They are outta their league. To be fair, the half-wits have the disadvantage of taking orders from the US elite, who make up with money what they lack in intellect. Instead of a bloodbath, Milosevich refrained - and thus we have the following story. Note that Djindjic is practically pleading "CRACK DOWN ON US". This is from today, after the Court and Milosevich told Kostunica - "Fine, You are president. Good luck" Meanwhile, the E-U has already presented Yugo with a bill (in guise of a present) for 2 billion US and Kostunica is kissing the loan sharks hand - more on that on emperors clothes on Sat, sometime. Meanwhile, here is Djindjic. Note that the reporter takes glee in Djindjic's expression of despair that the Great Dictator has not killed anyone. (Note Djindic's stupid reference to creating chaos! Is the man an imbecile? The laborer is worthy of his hire-rs. If you want to send this story to another AOL member? Click on the heart at the top of this window. Opposition leader reiterates warning of unrest BELGRADE, Oct 6 (Reuters) - One of the leaders of the opposition bloc backing Yugoslav president-elect Vojislav Kostunica on Friday repeated a warning that Slobodan Milosevic may use police to resume power. ``I think that he is only preparing his position for a perfidious blow and aims to consolidate his position so that, through disorder and chaos, he can return to the scene as a 'firm hand','' Zoran Djindjic said in a statement. The opposition bloc had issued a similar warning earlier in the day but later withdrew it, saying there was no confirmation. It was not immediately clear why Djindjic was reviving the suspicion. Fear that Milosevic's resignation could be a trick figured among many rumours started in Belgrade by the shock of his abrupt withdrawal. 19:31 10-06-00 Copyright 2000 Reuters Limited.
