CB: We can see, but vision tends to be associated with religion.
Is English comprehension really that difficult for you Charles, or are you
witholding acceptation because you don't like my cologne?
((((((((((((
CB: Seems my English is better than yours from our exchange here.
You don't know about the English connotaton of the word "vision" which associates it
with religion. And I see a bit of religion associated with some of the theories being
putforth hereabouts.
((((((((((((
CB: So, it is more of a theory-plan-strrategy-program.
And would you care to enlighten us as to the details of this
"theory-plan-strrategy-program" (other than the destruction of capitalism,
which is assured without you're having to lift a finger nor pen another banal
word)?
((((((((
CB: Not really , unless you stop pretending like you haven't gotten answers when you
have.
When you say things like
"1) What is the socialist or Marxist plan for avoiding the Crash? (Forgive me
for feeling that whining about capitalism is not a viable approach.)"
You are not forgiven. There is no viable approach that doesn't focus heavily on
abolishing capitalism. Until you stop thinking discussion of getting rid of
capitalism as whining, you should be given no other answers or enlightenment.
Capitalism will not go away , in the way we want it to without disaster, without
you're having to lift a finger, as you put it. Wrong.
Statements like
"3) What is the socialist "vision" for a sustainable society which would
nurture us down the millennia while, at the same time, allowing the rest of
nature's creation to enjoy the same benefits? "
are "pie in the sky" . YOU don't have a realistic vision for what you ask us for,
because nobody is that smart. Nobody is so visionary that they can come up with
surefired vision for the utopia through the millenia that you ask us for. In other
words, YOU don't have what you demand of us. And if you think you do, then you are
kidding yourself; you are a quasi-religious person, with dillusions of grandeur or
something like that.
What socialists have is a limited plan, very limited compared to your utopian
dreaming, that looks at the errors and problems of class society and capitalism, and
remedies those problems. But those remedies do not assure us for millenia. Our plan
for the millenia is to struggle, continue to learn from science and practice, and the
concrete analysis of concrete situations as they arise through the millenia. We do not
have a blue print for socialism let alone a blueprint and masterplan for the millenia.
And we don't think you have a realistic one.
As for the next century, I don't think there is a non-catastrophic answer for dealing
with the contingency of running out of oil that soon, without new discoveries of
energy alternatives. However, a communist society would be superior to a capitalist
society in making the masses of people scientifically conscious of the catastrophic
facts, persuading them of the necessity of the self-disciplines, drastic measures
needed to avoid the worst scenarios.
Furthermore, I don't see where humans are responsible for allowing the rest of
nature's creation to live the same as humans. Where do you get that from ?
___________
CB: Yes, didn't I tell you. We are the spectres of communism. We are
frightening . BOO !
No you're not. You're merely contumelious. Humorless, somber and earnest, you
are a joke.
((((((((((((((
CB: Oh really. You think I'm not really a spectre. Did that come to you in a vision ?
