Acknowledged. We have mentioned that again and again for the benefit of
our friends who continually posit solutions of "just doing this or that" as
if the idea itself makes the transformation. But Bond's thesis is a
leadership thesis, an attempt at unifying theory and practice, and as such
it falls way short. Z-Net doesn't speak to masses. It speaks to leftist
"intellectuals," and activists. When Bond asks us to support a coalition
that is supporting a strike, we'll probably all be there, and the polemic
will be aimed at the masses, and it will be for some reform. But Bond is
talking strategy, not tactics. Strategy has to be underwritten by an
understanding of general conditions and their trajectories and by sound
theory, not to mention an element of political will. He's demonstrated
none of these. He's substituted mush about bee-swarms and other such
nonsense, which further confuses people and diverts the masses down a dead
end we've all seen. At best, this politics is irrelevant, and at worst it
is suicidal.
Luv ya like a sistah, Yoshie.

"...all truly great scientific abstractions are both universal and simple.
They are simple not because they explain so little but because they explain
so much. Generality does not arise because an abstraction represents
everything that could possibly happen, but because it remains valid no
matter what happens."
