Im just fine, Milosevic tells B92
2:39 BELGRADE, Saturday Im just drinking coffee with my friends
here and Im just fine,
watching all of this like all the citizens of Serbia, Slobodan
Milosevic has just told Radio B92 in his
first ever interview with us.
There are a great number of citizens gathered in front of the house,
not just Socialist Party
supporters but many who have our nation and our national worth in
their hearts, and I can tell you
that were all proud to see them in such a mood, said Milosevic
The ousted president was talking to us at 1.20 a.m. after we had
published the reports sweeping
Belgrade this evening that he had been arrested.
Those reports had earlier been confirmed by a number of senior
government figures, although
Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic had denied any knowledge of an
arrest.
Asked whether he was afraid, Milosevic replied Of course, Im not. I
expect that this business will
end in a righteous way, in the way of our people.
