Ah. I was either unclear or didn't fully think the sentence through: I was specifically referring to negative reactions from fellow developers. Apart from one or two comments to the extent of "a lot of people dislike this change, maybe we should revert it?", either the other developers were happy with the change, or didn't find it particularly important enough to argue the point with me about it; thus, I found it difficult to understand the meaning of the original commit message's "dissatisfaction" comment. > Any pointers to a decent discussion? It's probably the change I should have made initially. My irrational point is that I defended "megabats" for a very long time. The storm of negativity seemed to pass and then fade into the background. Then, out of the blue, "megabat" is changed to "bat" with the implication that the majority of the dev team are unhappy with the name. Regardless of my rational and irrational points, humour is good for the game. It helps us to take ourselves less seriously. I don't feel that strongly about the change now as I did a few months ago, though that does not mean I'm not bemused -- see my "irrational point" -- by this one. > else's; they're going to assume you're making a computer geek pun.
