In the end IANAL :) Regardless, factual information about some creative work is not copyrightable (data about data). I've veered this discussion off couse however, and am still interested to talk shop on a plan to make the openswatchbook :) and release it all into the public domain :)
I should research more before speaking about this. Effectively Adobe built the Adobe sRGB color space so it is in many ways a work, which would be copyrightable. More like a recipe is. Same as Pantone, a name equals a mixture of ingredients. Just because you know how to make my grandmother's cookies doesn't mean that her recipe has no copyright. --Ted _______________________________________________ CREATE mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/create _______________________________________________ CREATE mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/create
