buondì,

i think that yuval has indirectly raised a good question (i'm referring to his point "A. reinvention of the wheel"):

why do we need a LGM in 2011?

i think that answering this single question will give us a huge help in formulating good guidelines and choosing a venue for 2011.

is it really the good question to ask? let's test it.

i will start two new threads where i ask:

- what YOU expect from the LGM 2011?

- what is the LGM for YOU?

if the answers start flowing in, it's a good sign that they ware indeed the right questions to ask.

two comments:

- you may specify, wether it's your personal opinion or the one from the project you belong to.

- it will probably usefull to have as many answers as possible, even if they are not unique. we should also probably refrain from commenting the answers given by others and just freely give our personal opinion.
(we could keep the comments to the answers in this thread, here).

and if there are no answers in there, well, then it was the wrong question to ask (or it has been asked at the wrong moment... let's be optimistic!)

have a nice day
