This event will bring together a diverse range of knowledge managers
and researchers with a common interest in facilitating information
exchange between museums, libraries, archives and beyond.
The full program will include speakers from museums, academia,
government and industry, and is now available in draft form on the
website at http://cidoc.ics.forth.gr/symposium_program.htm
Invited speakers are Thomas Gruber, Carl Lagoze, Amit Sheth and Bhavani
Thuraisingham.
There will also be an opportunity to learn more about the CIDOC
Conceptual Reference Model, which provides a formal structure for
describing the concepts and relationships used in cultural heritage
documentation. A free pre-symposium tutorial session is being provided
from 9:00am - noon on Wednesday 26th March.
Once again, there is NO COST to attend this event, which is open to
anyone interested in the exchange of cultural documentation. Attendees
are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and subsistence
costs. The Best Western Capitol Hill is about 5 blocks from the S.
