Here the invitation and agenda for the upcoming 6th meeting of the CIDOC
Special Interest Group (SIG)
and ISO/TC46/SC4/WG9 in Washington DC, USA:
The 6th CIDOC CRM meeting will take place in Washington DC, at the Smithsonian, from
March 25-28. The International Symposium, with title "Sharing the Knowledge,
from March 26-27, is part of this meeting.

How to find the meeting Place:
On Tuesday, the meeting will take place in Room 3112 in the S. Dillon Ripley International Center, 1100 Jefferson Drive, SW. This building is mainly located below ground. Entrance is via a kiosk
between the Castle and the Freer Gallery of Art. Take the elevator or stairs/escalator down to the third floor below ground.
On Wednesday morning, the CIDOC Tutorial, will be held in room 3112.
On Wednesday afternoon the Symposium 'Sharing the Knowledge', will be held in
the Ripley Auditorium, in the same International Center.
On Thursday morning we will be in Room 3111 all day.
Discussion Topics:
On March 25, final decision of the 80 revised entity scope notes will be taken. With this step, the CIDOC CRM, already completely defined as formal construct, will be finalized from the point of view
of concept definition. Further, the comments from the ISO vote for Comittee Draft have to be discussed and a plan for their implementation be made.
Meeting time: 9:30am - 6:30pm
On March 28, the progress on the introductory text to the CIDOC CRM has to be discussed and its finalizing be planned, as the last step to the final standard. Last, the strategy of the Group in the
near future has to be discussed, particularly taking into account the lesson learned from the Symposium panel discussion.
