Dear Beatrice,

Just a quick note from my side. This sounds like a great initiative. What
it really needs is long term support so people know they can rely on it. It
is complimentary to what we are discussing now at the SIG about identifying
ontologies that have made the effort to be and are in fact CRM compliant.
SIG needs its own process to evaluate and location to display this
information but, at least from my point of view, I see these are
complimentary rather than competitive activities. The CH portal would be an
important window into the overall environment beyond only CRM based
modeling exercises (as well as important lists of vocabularies). One of our
discussions in issue 682 is about the metadata required to gather for an
ontology wishing to be listed on the SIG site as official. I imagine
experience from the OntoPortal design might bring some interesting
perspectives. Those are my two cents. Would be glad to be put into the
information loop about any updates on this initiative.

Best,

George
