I'm curious, can you name at least a few ones if not all?
Maybe it should simply be called "Aggregated release" and that's all. Many projects create releases between aggregated ones, in order to satisfy their users and "pick" one of those releases to get into the aggregator. It's IMO a simpler and more efficient model.
