Hi Eike The reason for the increase is the addition of MUiFactory.createImperativeExpression(). I'm not convinced though that MUiFactory is intended to be implemented by clients (only then the major version needs to be increased). An e4 expert has to comment on that.
Unfortunately, this change is in our repositories since March 1, so, decreasing the version now can also do harm to people and repositories. At any rate, before even considering that, we need to know whether MUiFactory is intended to be implemented by clients and if so, whether there's another way than adding a new method to it. There are some other commits in the context of https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=484398 but none of them seems to justify a major version increment. Maybe I overlooked something historic that justifies it. Is it justifiable that the major version of this plugin was incremented, and if so, what is the justification? At this point it looks as if clients just need to increment their upper bound.
