Hi all, Sorry for being late to the party - I believe the respin was successfully done yesterday - anyways, +1 from me for respinning all 3 issues discussed (mostly because the risk of the changes looks minimal).
I fully agree with Alex that it's very important to discourage non-API use, and have the API discussion between projects. But knowingly breaking XText would do more harm than good. How much effort would it be to re-do an API usage scan across the release train, like zx had done on Helios? http://aniszczyk.org/2010/05/17/api-usage-scan-against-helios/ <http://aniszczyk.org/2010/05/17/api-usage-scan-against-helios/> http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/pde/apitools/helios/html/index.html <http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/pde/apitools/helios/html/index.html> Besides the practical benefit of knowing the status quo, diving into this might be an interesting topic for an academic thesis...
