Hey everyone, "Classic Search" aka Old Search has been deprecated since Eclipse 3.0 and provided nothing else but "migration" strategy to open a dialog for old implementations to allow firing the "new" search from the old view. The view will be gone [1] together with the internal classes [2] in 4.22 release. Existing deprecated API will be marked for removal and follow the standard deprecation and removal procedure (although it's non functional for years!).
