That driver appears to have a hard-coded list of PCI IDs that it'll deal with, coded in ixgbe_set_mac_type(). I don't see the new 8086,150b listed, so AT2 probably won't work. I recommend reporting it as a bug (bugs.opensolaris.org or defect.opensolaris.org), and contacting the driver-discuss at opensolaris.org mailing list for more detailed help.
