VTEC is a sort of multi-staged cam.  Basic VTEC heads have a set of low
lift cam lobes for low-end torque, and a set of high lift lobes for
maximum high RPM flow.  Boosting, or running a supercharger or
turbocharger, is forced induction where you are pressurizing the intake
charge.  You can get VTEC cams to make your head handle boost better.  But
they aren't mutually exclusive.
