George, I am glad to know what that sound was... It was very common in my
rex while I was trying to get it to start...I wan't freaked out by it, but I
was curious to what it was! LOL!

I will be addressing the battery issue tonight...and I will be double
checking the ground... thae body on the car has been weatherguard treated
with that spray stuff, but the engine bay has some bad corrosion on parst
left untreated ie: oil pan, engine mounts, etc... I'm sure that the ground
is bad now that you mention it... maybe some nice 6ga. power cable to an old
car sterio will do the trick with some nice beefy aftermarket battery
terminals (yeah...overkill, but it's a confidence booster)

Thanks for explaining that uurgle for me...I'm glad my MSD solved all my
problems for my rex...maybe a MSD is in order for this civic hatch too....
(I am really impressed with the MSD, and to add, that it's such a universal
part that If anything were to happen to the civic, I can use it on prectally
any car!)
-M
