Hey Mark,

I used a 4 gauge for the main ground wire/battery terminal and from the 
positive terminal to the main fuse box, and then used either 6 or 8  gauge 
wires to the stereo (can't remember exactly off hand). Also, replaced the 
valve cover ground with either 8 or 10 gauge. I don't think it would be 
overkill to use beefier wires seeing that the wires are so cheap anyway and 
it will definitely help.
