At 1:30 AM june 28th I totalled my silver 88 crx si. I bought the car in april for 1800. it was in great shape...i had just finished working the bugs out of it. in short i spent 5 months of work at dominos only on this car. i didnt have anything but liability on the car. i went into a wet curve at roughly 80-85 mph. i thought i knew the road well and that i could handle it...but i couldnt.. i lost control, ran off the road into a ditch. the first collision was with a concrete colvert which sent my car flipping end over end (long ways). then collided with another concret colvert and then after that i flipped the car 5 more times side to side, colliding into various bushes and fences through 3 people's yards. i had my 16 year old little brother as a passenger. throughout the course of the accident more than 300 yards were covered. had the car deviated its trajectory any more than 9 feet the car would have struck any of several large trees and my brother and I would be dead. however, thanks ONLY to god, he sustained NO injuries while i only sustained minor abrasions and lacerations on the face. i have 22 stitches in 3 spots on my face... and other than that im a little sore. the car is absolutely worthless. there is nothing of operational or monetary value left on/in the car. i just wanted to post this to help remind everyone not to do stupid stuff like drive fast anywhere but the track....you could lose your car and your life. be careful.
