I've been having a hard time starting my 88Si lately. I was thinking it was the fuel pump, because when it's warm, it would always fire right up, and if cold, I'd turn the key on until the check engine light turned off, and it'd start up in a second or less. However, lately, that hasn't worked, and the car takes 5 seconds or so to catch, and then barely. When it's warm, it starts up quicker, but not instantly like it used to. I still figured that it's the pump, but I noticed today that I smell gas when it does fire up, so I'm thinking that it's not a lack of fuel!
Any ideas on where to look first?
