you know, I took it apart and did some investigating and I saw that timeing belt was missing a few teeth so I think I'll just take it in to the mechanics.  The clutch has also gone out, so, I think that I could get some sort of a deal for getting both fixed at once.  but im not exactly sure about how much that should cost (w/ both cam belt and clutch).  It does have just over 200k miles on it so I don't know how much money I'm willing to put into it, but the engine was replaced altogether at about 100k miles.  So, if you have any suggestion on how much this should cost I would love to use them to compair.

is there any way to tighten the cam belt on an 88 si?  I believe that it is only loose and not broken.  the crx will not start because of it.
