Robin,
Something cold is obviously expanding, then the whine goes away. See if you can localize where the sound is coming from (front, rear, location on engine, etc.). A couple of innocent guesses: 1. Metallic "whine" around 2-3k rpm may be the heat shield rattling (it's above the cat.) 2. could be the shifter bushings 3. alternator George '89 DX-Hybrid-D16Z6, 122k miles "Seats, Suspension, Engine, MSD, next=dyno" -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Robin Turner Sent: Thursday, July 11, 2002 6:24 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: CRX: whinning sound At night time or early morning when I accelerate I hear a little whinng sound.
