Check the fluid level in the master cylinder.  The brake light comes on
when the e-brake is on and when you're low on brake fluid.

I don't think there is anything wrong.  My old hatch did the same thing.
If I adjusted the idle adjust screw I could get it to change pitch or go
away.  From what other people have told me, it's just a weird wistle
caused by build-up in the throttle body.  If it really bugs you, you can
try taking the throttle body off, soaking it in degreaser, and replacing
the throttle body gasket.
