On the second Gen (at least my 88) the gauge sender is towards the front
of the tank, while the pump is on the back. They are totally separate.

Subject: CRX: fuel guage question
Importance: High

Hi everyone,

I just got my CRX up and running over summer break and I have a few
questions. My fuel guage appears to have less fuel than it should.
When I first started using my car, the tank would read empty after about
8 gallons. Now it will read empty after about 4 gallons. Is there any
corrolation between the float in the fuel delivery system to the fuel
pump? I am hoping they are two different pieces and my car is not going
to stall out one day from lack of fuel. If I do need a new fuel pump,
how much does it cost and what tools do I need? I am back at school
with some tools, but not a ton. Glad to be back on the list. I have
other questions but I think this is my most pressing issue at the
moment.

Thanks a ton everyone,

Ern
