Thanks Kristian!  A friend of mine who is a programmer is looking into
developing a tool for interfacing to an existing ECU.  This would have to
involve either replacing the existing ECU or sitting in series with it
(since the Honda units lack any external inputs, except those cool European
ones with the prom socket).  Guess if they debut a 2006 CRX Renaissance
model, that would just *have* to include user-tunable inputs for the onboard
computers (Honda, are you listening?).

In fast and the furious they were using fuel management systems.
Essentially replacement ECUs that are fully programmable.  I know a guy
with a turbo NSX (17 pounds of boost) that runs a TEC2 from electromotive.
Zdyne makes one too, the Gold SuperECU.

All are about $1000, plus or minus a couple hundred.  I don't think any of
them have the "Manifold temperature critical" warning. :)
