I've noticed recently that my ZC powered Rex has been using oil lately.
Then I noticed it was simply using it to coat the street in front of my
house. So I investigated a little, and it seems to be coming from the base
of the head on the drivers side. This is pretty upsetting, as I don't want
to remove the head to chase down an oil leak. Anyone else had a similar
problem? was a new head gasket the solution? Anyone know where I could get
some of that UV dye they put in the oil to track down leaks so I can make
sure that is the actual location of the leak and not just smeared there by
wind? I tried cleaning the engine then watching for leaks, but it
apparently only happens at upper RPMs and under load, and my fan proceeds to
blow it all over the engine before I can get back and check.
