Okay,

This is a question to those of you who have modified engines (shaved
heads, high-flow fuel rails, custom cams, chipped ECU's, etc.). If I
drive conservative, the engine degrades on performance over time like
it's trying to say "don't drive me like a granny!" If I blow out the
dust, meaning punch the throttle, rev. extra high, etc., the engine
drives GREAT. Question is, would this indicate a carbon buildup on the
pistons or is it something else?
