Well, things have gone pretty much from bad to worse. Thus, I had no choice but to turn over ownership of my HF to the friend who found it back in July.
My back is up against the wall at the moment. My current daily driver is dying, and I have about two months to find a reliable replacement or I'm going to be walking. Since I don't have time to save up enough to get the Rex on the road between now and then, it was becoming too great of a luxury/liability to keep. I'm not going to get anything for it, but sometimes you just have to cut your losses while you can. Rather, another friend has started helping me see about get fianancing (GULP!!!) for a newer running, warrantied, car. I'm thinking 00-01 Celica. More out of realism...not too many late model cars out there right now really do much for me. Truthfully, what I want is a Del Sol. As my bud keeps saying though, finding a 96-97 car on a no/bad credit lot (my credit BITES) that takes trade ins, with some sembalance of a warranty....great fantasy, but not realistic. He keeps pushing Kia's on me. I keep telling him "Do you know what the letters Foxtrot Oscar mean?" So, the Del Sol shall have to wait until some time in the future when I have some expendable capital to work with. Since I'm no longer a rex owner (and probably won't be again for awhile), I'll be bowing out of here in the next few days. Just wanted to say bye, and thanks for all the great advice over the past few months. Derek Wakefield [EMAIL PROTECTED]
