The leak I had sounded similar and was coming from the rear squirter. To check, try
to rock the squirter itself back and forth. If it rocks, chances are it the squirter.
Another check is to cut the bottom off a styrofoam cup, put either open end of the
cup around the squirter and fill the cup with water. Try to make sure no water leaks
from the cup..You should then see water running inside the car if the squirter is not
sealing.

The water will actually pool on the sheet metal sandwich under the headliner. Once
the water fills the pocket it's in, it runs down the plastic trim and exits at the
rear hatch lift supports.

Don't try pulling down the headliner. The squirter is hidden behind some irremoveable
metal. I removed my squirter from outside the car with some bondo spreaders between
the roof and the squirter. There are some prongs on the bottom of the squirter that
locks into the hole the squirter is in. The spreaders are to push the prongs inward
so you can remove the squirter.

Once removed, I then applied silicone to either side of the rubber-type gasket that is
on the bottom of the spreader. Then I pried the prongs outward and reinstalled the
squirter in the hole.

I probably should have taken pictures when I did mine 6 months ago. Hindsight. Hope
it helps.

BTW My rear sunroof drain tubes were partially plugged, but not enough to cause a
leak. You can open the sunroof and pour water into the channel near each tube and
watch for the water running from the wheel well area to check.
