Well, when you say "sickening" I think of more a mix of exhaust and unburned fuel. I've run into this too. The flex point between my headers and a custom header-back exhaust isn't the best, my engine mounts also aren't the best. So, I figure that under hard throttle the engine is probably just moving enough to create an exhaust leak at this joint. That's my two cents, whether it's worth the cost is another issue.... Kirk B.
