Cheapest stereo known to mankind: Really, really cheap mono - hum to yourself Really, really cheap stereo - have a passenger hum with you Really cheap stereo - a Walkman and headphones Cheap stereo - feed a Walkman CD player into your stock tape deck Cheap stereo - get a stock headunit on eBay Cheap stereo - get a cheap amp and feed the Walkman CD player into it Anything made by Pyramid, Pyle, Jensen, etc. is probably a waste of time and money.

P.S. - Here's the cheap setup that's been in my CRX (non-competition vehicle): Infinity Basslink, old Clarion tape deck, Sony Walkman CD player feeding the tape deck, and some Mark Levinson Lexus speakers (nice OEM stuff) all cheap and all LIGHT WEIGHT!
