Well, I'm moving on to the
transmission problems. The synchros are going out and it grinds when you
put it into second, third, and sometimes fourth gear now.. I took a
transmission out of a '91 civic DX, and am hoping that it bolts up with my Si
motor.. (d16a6) Do any of you know of any problems I might run in
to? (same starter, bolt holes, splines on the
shaft, sensor differences, etc...) Also, I figured while I have
The transmission out, I might as well replace the clutch, so I have a new clutch
waiting, and I thought, I need something for those old worn motor mounts, so I
got Energy Suspension's Motor mount inserts. Then I thought, My drive
axles are crap, I need new ones, then thought, I might as well do the Neuspeed
springs while I have the suspension in pieces.. then I made myself quit
thinking, as it was getting really expensive all of the sudden... One last
question I have is, Has anyone used the Auto Zone Re-build drive axles??
are they any good at all? They sell for really cheap (59.99 + 49.99 core)
and sounds like a good deal to me. (maybe too good??)
