I signed up for this a week ago, got 2 passwords in the mail a minute
after signing up.
Neither would let me in. Tried the next day too.
Emailed "steve", and a week later, still no reply.
I know the board works cause I can see members logged in.

Any info???

Is it saying that you can't log in because the password or user name is wrong?  Or does it just do nothing?

Crx-Related: A year ago, I had the dancing tacho problem, so I got one
of those new 'block' thingies that fit inside the distributor (cant
remember the name).  No more dancing tacho....one year laterl......now
my tacho dances, my temp guage dances, and my speedo dances and squeeks
a lot... :(

cheers,
deej

Block thingie?  The Ignition coil?  It's black and has two wires that connect to it or the Igniter?  Smaller, has four wires and is usually a light brown in color (also held in with just two bolts).

I would check the ground and possibly add another ground to see if that fixes your dancing gauges.  I had this happen when I first got my CRX back in 1998 ... my water temp, fuel and tach would bounce at random times.  So I added a ground wire from the engine to the frame and replaced the ground wire from one of the valve cover acorn nuts to the frame.

Then later just the tach needled danced which I was told was caused by a bad Igniter and so I replace it (http://www.crx.org/southcal/tech/igniter/default.htm) and never had it happen again.

I recently replaced my coolant temp sensor (the one that feeds the gauge) .. recent as in August of last year.  It's located directly under the distributor (which was kinda of a PITA to get at).  I replaced the sensor because I was trying to rule out a bad water temp gauge (it kept going up near the red but the engine wasn't over heating and it only seemed to do it in the mornings).

Looking back in retrospect, I think part of the problem may have been a bad ground because about a couple of weeks ago, I had to replace my stock battery ground cable (went with a larger 2-gauge wire) to fix another weird electrical Gremlin that I was experiencing.

Since replacing said battery ground, I've not seen the problem return.
