Hey folks
On my project CRX the bolt which hold the altertaor to the engine so
that it can pivot to tighten the belt has rusted to to the alternator.
There is a metal sleeve whichis rusted to the bolt. does any one have
any tip and ricks to get this out.
I have tried heat, pentrant, brute force (5 lb sledge with 2'ft rebar so
I can really wail away at it) I have even gotten destructive with my
dremel and a cutoff disc but due to space limitations it can't cut any
deeper ino the alternator
I guess my next step might be tro try a drill and drill perpendicular
into the bolt and alternator. I guess at this point I have already lost
my core deposit so I have nothing more to lose.
Any suggestions?
Also.. to keep this Impala related. hoping to get the CRX done so I can
work on the springs and shocks on the Big Car.
