Hi, I am hoping that someone could help me out here. I am trying to install some higher grade speaker wires into the doors, but I can't seem to thread the wires from the dash area to the doors. Looking into the door hinged area, I see some rubber grommets where wires can be threaded through, but I can't for the life of me fish them through, without removing the door or the dash which I don't really want to do. Does anybody have any ideas on how to do this easily? Thanks.

When I did my MB Quarts and power door locks in 1998, I pulled the wires through by taking a coat hanger wire, bending the lead end (the part that I would be poking through) so that it was more-or-less *blunt* so that I would not run the risk of tearing the rubber boot and pushing it from the door into the foot well.

Either I was *lucky* but I was able to push mine through without much of a problem.

When the wire hanger made it through into the foot well area, I attached the wires needed and pulled it carefully through.  I also pulled an additional pair of speaker wires in the event that I wanted to add another driver in the door.  I have it zip-tied so that it's out of the way.

But because I was also installing my power door locks, I had to take the door panel off which I believe made it easier.  As for the dash, all I removed was the lower dash panels by the fuse block (which was because I needed access to the wire harness) and I sort of removed the foot well panel.  In other words, I loosened it.
