Upgrade to b108 crypto not working

The openssl libcrypto library moved from /usr/lib/sfw to /usr/lib and the 
softlink formerly at /usr/lib was removed and a softlink added at /usr/lib/sfw. 
 I understand there was some problems with upgrading systems.  Others probably 
know more details about the problem and the fix or workaround.
