I'm terminating the current UCE discussion, unless someone comes up with more interesting information on the use of *cryptography* in fighting UCE. General messages explaining why people do or don't need to be able to send from SMTP servers that don't correspond to the domain name in the From: address (which I do every day) etc. are not really on topic.
