Rather, the problem is, who is to say who are the real crypto people? The Wifi consortium doubtless believed they were hiring officially accredited officially expert officially crypto people, blessed by the holy consensus of academia, but they got it wrong, then they got the fix wrong, then they got the fix of the fix wrong.
