I don't think I coded this feature. The standard Unix gzip does not seem to do anything with the name contained in the gzip file. For example, if you gzip file x into x.gz, then rename it to y.gz, then gunzip, you get y instead of x.
Although I see now that there is an option "-N" for gzip to restore the original file name. Is this a feature you wanted to use, or were you just curious? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeffrey Walton" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Crypto++" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, May 29, 2007 3:54 PM Subject: Gzip (name file contained in archive) > > Hi Wei, > > Looking at http://www.cryptopp.com/docs/ref/class_gzip.html, I found > how to set the deflate level, but not how to name the contained file. > > Is there a method available? > > Jeff > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the "Crypto++ Users" Google Group.
